This is the first property of the Bachchans which was bought by the megastar’s family in Juhu-Vile Parle. This is the bungalow where the actor’s late parents lived, Mr. Karivansh Rai Bachchan and Mrs. Teji Bachchan, which makes this old yet grand property one of his favourites. He is often spotted visiting the property during his leisure time to spend a few hours.
Jalsa – Kapol Housing Society:
Only a kilometre away from Prateeksha, Jalsa was gifted to Amitabh Bachchan by director Ramesh Sippy as remuneration for his movie, ‘Satte Pe Satta.’ Jalsa is a magnificent 10,125 sq ft twin-storey bungalow located in Kapol Housing Society. It is said that the property was initially under Ramola Bachchan, wife of Amitabh’s brother Ajitabh Bachchan for tax issues. By 2006, it was registered under Amitabh’s wife, actress Jaya Bachchan.
Janak – Juhu:
Located in close proximity with Jalsa, Janak serves as an office for the megastar. The property was bought in the year 2004 for a whopping amount of Rs. 50 crore by the family. The word ‘Janak’ meaning ‘father’ was the name chosen by the actor and he can be spotted regularly visiting the premises with his grandson Agastya Nanda, son of daughter Shweta Bachchan.
Vatsa – Juhu:
Another amazing property owned by the Bachchan family in Juhu, Vatsa is not where any of the family members reside. Instead, it has been leased out to a bank that offers rent in lakhs of rupees each month.
Apart from his properties in Mumbai, the Bachchans also made it to the headlines for owning homes aboard.
